Angela Goddard

Angela Goddard is a character on Netflix's Lost in Space. She is portrayed by Sibongile Mlambo.

History[]

Her husband was a musician who played cello and the seventh musician selected for the 24th Mission. She considered him the best part of her life. He was killed in front of her by The Robot during its attack on the Resolute. ("Eulogy")

She was found by Don West and "Dr. Smith" badly injured. They took her along with them as they went to find help, but "Dr. Smith" abandoned them both to save her own skin. ("Diamonds in the Sky")

Don managed to rescue her on his own and take refuge with the Watanabe family. She was in a bad condition and wouldn't speak, but after Judy Robinson treated her injuries, she told her of The Robot's attack on the Resolute. ("The Robinsons Were Here")

She refused "Dr. Smith"'s offer of therapy, stating that she was focusing on her physical therapy, but later agreed to see her. She described how her husband Josh's hand had burned into her own. Her talk only made her feel worse, which given Smith's nature, may have been the intention. She stole a gun and found the Robinson family, Dr. Smith and The Robot together. She pointed it and when John told her to put the weapon down stated that was why she was there - "to put the weapon down." Meanwhile, Will Robinson had let to try to get his mother Maureen to join the family card game when they heard a gunshot. Will came inside to find that Angela's repeated shots at The Robot had no effect. He transformed into his previous monstrous multi-limbed form and came for her, shoving John out of the way. She was a scientist and figured a method of neutralizing the rust virus found on the amber planet. ("Unknown")
