Canto

Canto (portrayed by Gregory Morton, uncredited voiceover) was the malevolent alien presence encountered by John Robinson in the episode “Follow the Leader.” Canto was the spirit of a long-dead warrior from the planet Quasti, still intent on conquering the universe. He took over Robinson’s mind, although the professor resisted as long as he could. With his superior intelligence, Canto was able to direct John in beginning the necessary preparations for the Jupiter 2 to leave Priplanus and resume his plans of conquest. Ultimately, Canto’s spirit is driven out by John who is spurred on by his son’s love.
