The Jupiter 18 is a spacecraft in Netflix's 2018 television series Lost in Space. It is primarily used to escape the Resolute.
Plot[]
Like all the Jupiter class spacecraft, the Jupiter 18 is initially stored within the Resolute for the colonists. When the robots attack the Resolute, Don West, Tam Roughneck and "Dr. Smith" escape aboard the Jupiter 18 and crash-lands on an unknown planet.
The ship is caught in a diamond storm and crashes into a cliff. Tam is thrown out by the impact and killed. ("Diamonds In the Sky")
Unlike the other Jupiter spacecraft, the vessel crashed in a desert area, which meant that it was not drained of its fuel by the fuel eel creatures that had drained the other Jupiter vessels dry. Don West, in exchange for payment, led a group of the other survivors to the vessel in order to salvage its fuel. Although it was at the edge of a cliff and buried under the planet's soil, they succeeded in extracting its fuel. Draining the fuel, however, caused it to lose what remaining balance it had, and it fell over the edge of the cliff. ("Eulogy")
