The Jupiter 4 is a Jupiter class spacecraft in Netflix's 2018 television series Lost in Space. It is primarily used by the Dhar family.
Plot[]
Like all the Jupiter class spacecraft, the Jupiter 4 is initially stored within the Resolute for the colonists. When the robots attack the Resolute, the Dhar family escapes aboard the Jupiter 4 and crash-lands on an unknown planet.
When Victor Dhar returns with a portion of fuel from one of the other ships, and he learns from his son Vijay that they will not survive long on the planet, he attempts to launch the Jupiter 4 with the fuel with only his family on board. Maureen and John Robinson are able to stop them. ("Trajectory")
After intense calculations to account for the limited fuel supply, the Jupiter 4 is stripped down for weight and launched with John and Don West on board to contact the Resolute. Maureen Robinson navigates their flight from the ground, but when she is incapacitated by Dr. Smith, the ship explodes. John and Don evacuate the ship before the explosion.

Alternate timeline[]
In an alternate timeline in which neither Penny Robinson nor her father John were a part of the 24th Mission, the Dhars also attempted to launch the Jupiter 4. In this timeline, they could not be talked down and the vessel exploded, resulting in the death of all hands. (Lost in Space: Return to Yesterday)
