Radic

Captain Radic is the commander of the Resolute, a vessel tasked with shuttling the members of the 24th Mission to Alpha Centauri in Netflix's 2018 television series Lost in Space.

Radic is portrayed by Shaun Parkes.

History[]

He was a commanding presence and caught June Harris in her con-artist and murdering activities aboard his vessel, but found himself in a pickle as no system of justice had yet been established. ("Infestation")

She manipulated him into touching toxic kelp, which caused him to pass out, forcing him to be placed in a medically induced coma. ("Scarecrow")

During the Robots' attack on Alpha Centauri, June tries to give Radic a lethal injection in order to ensure her own future, but she is stopped by Robot. He asks for her help and she later realizes he had saved her from making a mistake that she couldn't turn back from.

Radic ultimately survives and a remorseful June later gives him a real confession before turning herself in for her crimes. ("Trust")

Personality and traits[]

Firm and commanding, he was what one would expect from the captain of an important mission. He was also determined and did everything he could to re-establish contact after his vessel was establish and its colonists were forced to take refuge on the unknown planet. Ultimately, however, even all of his skills aren't enough to save him from the cunning nature of June Harris.

In the first season, he appears physically only in "Infestation" and "Danger, Will Robinson; his other appearances are voice only. Additionally, his actor is not credited in "Danger, Will Robinson." In the second and third seasons, however, he appears physically.
