Tam Roughneck

Tam Roughneck, also known as Tam Soderquist, is the best friend of mechanic Don West. She was a crew member of the Resolute.

On Netflix's Lost in Space, Roughneck was portrayed by AnnaMaria Demara.

History[]

Tam Roughneck worked as a mechanic on board the Resolute, which is how she and Don knew each other.

During the evacuation following the Robot's attack on the vessel, she escaped in the Jupiter 18 with Don West, and she let June Harris on board with them, risking punishment due to Harris being wanted for having murdered a fellow crew member. Their ship crashed on a cliff on the unknown planet, and Tam was flung out of the ship and killed.

Tam's body was found by Don West and abandoned. Don removed her shoes and loaned them to June Harris (at the time going by "Dr. Smith"), leaving her alone to bury Tam's body. The behavior was seemingly at odds with Smith's normal selfish personality, as Roughneck's body would have been left exposed to the elements had Smith not buried her. However, true to her nature, she wedged the photo album, with the real Dr. Smith's photo inside, beneath Tam's body, thus hiding her secret.

Tam's burial site was next to the crashed Jupiter 18 on the planet, her gravestone a large rock with her helmet perched on top as designed by June Harris.
