Verda is an android. She was created when Dr. Smith used a Celestial Department Store ordering machine. She is tuned to his psychic frequency ("The Android Machine"). She states that she was manufactured by Unit 12, RDS Remote Unit and that the Andromedan civilization created her. The Robinsons come to love Verda (with the exception of Dr. Smith). Eventually Verda is recalled by the Department Store because she has developed human emotions.
Verda later appeared in "Revolt of the Androids" when she was being hunted down by a super-android. The Department Store has decided to recall and destroy all model B androids which is what Verda is. Verda runs away instead of being destroyed. She is later found on the planet that the Robinsons have crashed upon. Penny and Judy not only discover Verda, but they see that Verda has become more human... she now has skin on her face and lovely brown hair upon her head. The Department store has sent a super-android called IDAK Alpha 12 to kill her. However, IDAK Alpha 12 soon develops human feelings and cannot destroy Verda. Another super-android, IDAK Omega 17 is sent to destroy Verda. However, he also fails and is taken back by the Department Store. Verda decides that she and IDAK Alpha 12 should escape to an unknown planet where they can never be found. It is obvious that Verda and IDAK Alpha 12 care deeply for each other. Verda bids farewell to the Robinsons... she seems to be closest to Penny. Then both Verda and IDAK Alpha 12 disappear. IDAK Alpha 12 was also known as target android 105 by IDAK Omega 17.
