Doctor Zachary Smith is a minor character on Netflix's 2018 television Lost in Space. He is aboard the Resolute for the 24th Mission to colonize Alpha Centauri.

History[]

Dr. Smith completed his residency in pediatrics at N.E. Medical College, and later had a private practice in Eugene, Oregon. His psychological and proficiency profiles were completed on January 22, 2049.^[1]

Plot[]

During the robots' attack of the Resolute, Dr. Smith is injured when June Harris finds him. She steals his jacket to evacuate in one of the Jupiters.^[2]

Following his injuries, Smith was placed in cryosleep until he could receive proper treatment, but treatment was delayed during the second robot attack which caused everyone evacuate. After the Jupiter 2 returns to the Resolute, June Harris briefly pulls him out of cryosleep to remove his identification chip from his arm. June also rewrites his profile to feature her information and her photograph, and implants his chip into herself, so there is no longer a data entry for Dr. Zachary Smith on the Resolute.^[3]

Following the evacuation and destruction of the Resolute,^[4] Dr. Zachary Smith's status is unknown.
